Before and After Pictures

What areas can be treated?
Hair can be removed from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, and back. Sensitive areas like the chest, nipples and bikini line can also be treated.

How does it work?
Hair does not all actively grow at the same time, but actually goes through distinct phases: growth, regression and resting. Laser Health Clinique systems work by disabling the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment.

How many treatments will I need?
It depends on various factors such as your hair’s thickness, the area being treated and your hair’s growth cycle. Most areas require approximately six treatments for optimal long-term benefits.

What does it feel like?
The handpiece cools and soothes as it glides along your skin. When the pulse of light is delivered, some people experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required.

Who provides the treatments?
Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants who are Certified Laser Professionals under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.

What are the possible side effects?
Patients experience few side effects, most commonly slight reddening and swelling of the treated area, similar to a sunburn. These effects typically last several hours or less. In rare instances, blistering may occur. Ask your medical professional for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.

What can I expect after treatment?
You can return to normal activities right away. Some redness may occur so you may want to plan work or social activities accordingly. The use of sunscreen is recommended and it is a good idea to limit your sun exposure. Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Actually, most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing. Your medical professional may also recommend that you use a specially formulated skin care product line or prescribe a skin care regimen especially formulated for your skin type.
