Before and After Pictures.

What types of veins can be treated?
Laser Health Clinique systems can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Small, facial veins can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. Knotty varicose veins are not good candidates. Ask your medical professional what the best course of treatment for you is.

How does it work?
No painful injections are required! The laser delivers a pulse of light energy which causes the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be.

What about hemangiomas and port wine stains?
Hemangiomas respond very well to laser treatment. Usually with just one treatment. Patients with port wine stains and other vascular lesions who had given up on finding a solution have been overwhelmed by the success of the Laser Health Clinique laser treatments.

Who provides the treatments?
Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants who are Certified Laser Professionals under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.

How many treatments do I need?
Generally one or two treatments are sufficient. The number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated.

What does it feel like?
Many describe the treatment as a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, however some patients choose to use a topical anesthetic prior to treatment. Following the treatment, the pain is minimal or nonexistent.

What happens after treatment?
You can generally resume most normal activities immediately. It is recommended you avoid strenuous exercise or vigorous activities for the first 24 hours. The use of sunscreen is recommended.

What are the possible side effects?
There are few if any. Most common are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Consult with your medical professional for more information.

When will I see results?
Most people find the majority of their treated veins have shown significant improvement in two to six weeks.
